EXT. P3 – NIGHT (2061 – FLASHFORWARD)
ON THE SCREEN:
SAN FRANCISCO, 2061
People entering the PLACE as the loud music can be heard from the outside.
CUT TO:
INT. P3 – DANCING FLOOR / BAR – NIGHT (2061 – FLASHFORWARD)SOUND: THE DJ PLAYS HIS MUSIC.
The club is crowded. People are dancing. The ambiance is a little bit different from the P3 we all know. It seems darker.
Matt comes in from the entrance staircase and looks around. He doesn’t seem shocked at P3’s ambiance. Slowly, he makes his way towards the bar. As he walks there, some women wearing short leather black dresses approach them and try to hit on him, but he pushes them away.
He approaches the counter and right away a brunette woman, who’s behind the counter puts a drink before Matt. He looks at the drink and then up at the woman who put the drink on the counter.
BEAT. Wearing a glittering purple dress, she stands before him… Patience smirks at him.
MATT
Patience!
PATIENCE
Hi, Matty Matt. Nice to see you here.
Suddenly, the music stops. Everybody turns around including Matt. They stare at a man that comes from the door that leads to the storeroom.
This man --- he wears an elegant dark grey suit. His blue eyes shine brightly. Every woman in the place looks at him with desire. He knows it and likes it. PIERCE (23) seems a successful man in every field of his life.
Pierce spots Matt. He stops. Both men stare at one another. Pierce smirks and then walks towards Matt. Both men stand serious at one another.
PIERCE
Matt!
Matt swallows.
MATT
I can’t say I like what you did with the place.
Pierce laughs. He turns around and signs everybody to get back to the dancing and music. The music starts again and everybody dance. Employees walk through the place serving customers. Female employees wear short dresses. Pierce turns to Matt.
PIERCE
Everybody has the right to have a little bit of fun. Don’t you agree, cous?
BEAT. Pierce and Matt are related.
MATT
This was a better place when demons were only vanquished here and not invited to socialize.
PIERCE
Not only demons come here to socialize, Matt. Besides, I kept the name to honor the line I come from.
Pierce approaches the counter and takes the drink Patience poured to Matt.
PATIENCE
You haven’t said what brings you here, Matt.
Matt looks at Patience and then at Pierce. The last one has a sip of the drink.
MATT
(to Pierce)
We are burying your mother tomorrow.
Pierce's eyes seem empty.
MATT (CONT'D)
You know, the one that was killed by one of your employees.
Pierce smirks.
PIERCE
Mum was dead long before that.
Pierce turns to Matt. Peri joins Patience behind the counter. She wears a glittering dark blue dress.
PERI
(to Patience)
What is he doing here?
PATIENCE
Came to tell about the funeral.
Patience and Peri exchange glances.
MATT
(to Pierce)
You’re right. She died the day you and your father were taken from her.
PIERCE
She could have stayed with us. But she chose to fight us.
Matt looks at Pierce with disdain.
MATT
How did you become this evil man?
PIERCE
It’s in my nature, remember?
MATT
No, it’s not. You were raised to be good. But you choose otherwise.
PIERCE
I choose the winning side, cous. You and the others could do the same.
Pierce steps back.
PIERCE (CONT'D)
You know there is a place for you all with us.
Matt glares from Pierce to Patience to Peri. Then he looks at Pierce.
MATT
Never.
Before turning to leave ---
MATT (CONT'D)
If you loved your mother, show it.
Matt turns and walks away. Pierce stares at Matt as he leaves.
PERI
(to Pierce)
Are you going?
PERI (CONT'D)
To your mother’s funeral.
PIERCE
Like I said, ---
And endless darkness can be seen in his eyes.
PIERCE (CONT'D)
--- Melinda Halliwell died long ago.
BEAT. Pierce turns and walks away into the crowd. Patience and Peri exchange glances.
CUT TO:
EXT. HALLIWELL MANOR – DAY (PRESENT DAY)STOCK.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLIWELL MANOR – WYATT & PRUE’S BEDROOM – DAYPrue is awake and walking from a side to another. She seems worried. At that moment, Wyatt comes in.
WYATT
Love?
Prue turns and looks at him. He is wearing the same clothes as the day before. Prue approaches him and both hug.
PRUE
I’m so, so glad you are back, honey.
They kiss. Wyatt lowers and kisses Prue’s stomach.
WYATT
How is my little girl?
Wyatt looks up at Prue.
WYATT (CONT'D)
Did she let you sleep last night?
Prue can’t hide her worried look. Wyatt notices.
WYATT (CONT'D)
What’s wrong?
PRUE
Christina behaved tonight.
WYATT
But ---
Prue takes a deep breath.
PRUE
It’s just that ---
She looks Wyatt in the eyes.
PRUE (CONT'D)
I just had to watch Melinda. That’s all.
WYATT
Honey ---
Wyatt holds Prue’s face between his hands.
WYATT (CONT'D)
--- You need to think about you and the baby.
PRUE
I know, Wy, but your sister ---
Prue thinks twice.
PRUE (CONT'D)
--- Your sister’s astral self has been a bad girl.
Wyatt doesn’t understand.
WYATT
Her astral self?
PRUE
Yeah, she’s been seeing Damon.
WYATT
Seeing Damon?
PRUE
Well, that wasn’t exactly the ‘s’ word I wanted to use, but yeah.
Wyatt gets serious.
PRUE (CONT'D)
Please tell me that you know what’s wrong with her besides this secret agenda and the orbing thing.
Wyatt stares seriously at Prue.
WYATT
She’s a hybrid.
Prue is astonished.
PRUE
What?
WYATT
Not like us, but still.
PRUE
You mean Melinda is part Whitelighter?
WYATT
She has a dormant gene.
(pauses)
A dormant gene awakened by her astral self.
Prue is open-eyed.
CUT TO BLACK.
