Jo [a theory thread]

Hello everyone!

I've seen a few theories and ideas floating around about Jo and who she is. I figured it was time to put it all in one place. If you have any thoughts or theories on who Jo is, who her family is, what her connection to things are, put it here! We love hearing everyone's thoughts and feelings. Remember not to argue, though, as everyone has (and is entitled to) their own opinion. As for my own theory, I'll be posting that below soon!

Okay, so, I am kind of thinking that Jo is, indeed, a Halliwell. Here's why.

• We know she's the cousin Matthew Halliwell (Bianca and Chris' son). While this could mean that she is a Wright and not a Halliwell, or related to Matthew through Bianca's side, I think that it's unlikely. Mainly due to the fact that the Halliwells are the main characters, and we don't really know enough about the Wright's for Jo to be a substantial member.
  
• Her relationship with Melinda. We know that Jo was raised by her Aunts and Uncle's because of her mothers death. Perhaps Melinda served as a mother-figure for Jo. They seem to be close in the future, which would only make sense if Jo was related to Melinda.
  
• She saw the Book of Shadows in the Halliwell Manor all the time growing up. Maybe because she lived there? Or, spent a lot of time there because of her friendship/familial relationship with Matthew?

I think that Jo is either Tamora or Prue's biological daughter.

Here are my reasons for her mother being Prue:

• Jo and Prue have very similar persona's.
• Prue's pregnancy is high-risk, so it would make sense if Prue tragically died due to her pregnancy and birthing Jo.
• Jo has the same powers (molecular combustion, telekinesis, empathy) as Prue.
• Jo made a cryptic comment about Prue's baby hating peanuts, and then stated that she hates peanuts as well. Also, it isn't uncommon for the food that an expecting mother is craving for the baby not to like once their born.
• Both love history.
• Jo is blonde and so is Wyatt, she also has Leo's mothers eyes.  Which, Melinda coincidentally has as well and we know Melinda just loves to mention it.
• Jo almost called Wyatt "dad" a few episode ago. She also could have been about to say "damn" but... ya never know.
• She was raised by her "aunts" and "uncle". Prue has two sisters, and Wyatt has one (meaning Jo has three biological aunts (and technically cousins but that's to confusing for me)) and Wyatt is the only one of the pair to have a brother. "Aunts" (plural) "Uncle)" (singular) makes sense with Prue/Wyatt's family.
• She is familiar with the Halliwell Manor and comfortable enough with it to walk in and out on her own. Possibly because she lives there in the future?
• Her being 28 lines up perfectly timeline wise.

Here are my reasons for her mother being Tamora:

• They have similar powers (telekinesis, molecular combustion/acceleration (we know that acceleration can mutate into combustion)).
• Tamora is dating Sebastian, a Whitelighter, so it would make sense if after Tamora gave birth Sebastian delved into his work and wasn't around much (parallel to Sam and Paige). Which, could be why Jo was raised by her Aunts/Uncles.
• They look alike - both are very tall (5'7 and 5'9 respectively), both have blonde hair (Tam's hair is dyed but natural auburn and brown can produce blonde), both have blue eyes, both have paler skin.
• They both are talented bartenders.
• It would make sense for Jo to know about the secret library not that Sebastian (her possible father) has discovered it with Wyatt.
• Tamora worked at Halliwell's, maybe that's the restaurant that Jo works at in the future? Like mother like daughter

I had doubts about three of them: Prue, Melinda and Tamora. But I do believe she's Prue and Wyatt's. Why?
First the timeline: she is 28, meaning that she was born in 2035 or in the begining of 2036. Prue is pregnant and Tam is not for what I've read. Maybe Tam gets pregnant soon???
Another reason, Jo and Matthew seem very close and both are also 28.
When it comes to the 'Aunts' I also believe that she also refers to Tam and Pan. I treat my mother cousins by aunts so who knows...
About the secret library.... She shout out that info, so maybe now everybody knows about it, right?

I don't know, I bet my money on Prue's.

Oooh nice thinking! I got of forgot about their ages tbh. It does make more sense for Jo to be Pyatt's I'm learning towards Mel as well

I did at first, but I don't know. I'm kinda thinking of Melinda as the dear Aunt that raised Jo after whatever happens to Prue.

At first, I would say she was Mel's daughter, but right now I do believe it's Prue's daughter.

Have you guys read last episode? There's one more reason. Jo helped Prue find peace about Mr. Shawn and what she did to him. She cared because she might be her mother and despite whatever happened between them Jo has come to changer her own present so maybe she wants to change whatever happened between her and Prue

I hope so! If Prue really is her mom that would be heartbreaking that Prue dies... Hopefully Jo can help change that for the better. I agree Davina, I'm leaning towards Prue as well

I totally agree with that theory that Prue is Jo's mum, but yeah, if she dies.... Prue is my favorite character. She cannot die.
Maybe the future can change or maybe Jo didn't mean like her mother die like really die, you know. I just hope Prue doesn't die.

Totally agree, @jo! I love Prue and it's heartbreaking to think that she might die... Hopefully, the future changes. If it weren't for the fact that Jo's mother died I would totally think that it was Melinda. lol.

Maybe! But I do think that the future Jo comes from hasn't changed much. We know some minor things have changed, but if Prue is Jo's mother, I think she's still dead in the future.
